Karabakh’s liberation was dream of Turkic peoples, Iraqi lawmaker says
The liberation of Karabakh and Azerbaijan's achievements have long been a source of hope and a dream for Turkic communities around the world, Arshad al-Salihi, an Iraqi lawmaker from Kirkuk and head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, has stated.
Speaking at the forum titled Turkmen Heritage: Solidarity of Civil Societies, he said what unites Turkic peoples today is their shared history, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
He stressed that while parliamentary and diplomatic relations are important, it is common cultural heritage, folklore, and historical ties that serve as the strongest bonds between nations.
The forum was organised by the Bridge Turkmen Heritage Research Centre Public Union in cooperation with Azerbaijan's NGO Agency.
