Israel’s ambassador says cooperation with Azerbaijan to expand
Israel's ambassador to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz said economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel is continuing to expand, citing growing energy, investment and tourism ties between the two countries.
Speaking to Report, the ambassador pointed to cooperation around the Tamar gas field and discussions on potential Azerbaijani investments in Israeli companies, including IDE Technologies.
“Economic relations between Israel and Azerbaijan are certainly expanding. This includes the Tamar field and discussions on purchasing stakes in Israeli companies, for example, IDE (Israeli Desalination Company). I am confident that even more areas of cooperation will emerge in the future,” Krausz said.
Commenting on bilateral tourism, the ambassador said the number of Israeli visitors travelling to Azerbaijan increased in 2025.
“Nearly 70,000 Israeli tourists visited Azerbaijan in 2025. In addition, many people used Azerbaijan as a transit hub, flying from Baku to other destinations. I hope we will continue to see a large number of Israelis visiting Azerbaijan,” he said.
