Israel sees COP29 as opportunity to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan

COP29 presents an excellent opportunity to enhance cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel on climate issues, according to Israel's Deputy Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yoav Bystritsky.

Bystritsky shared this sentiment on his social network X page, Caliber.Az reports.

"COP29 is a great opportunity to expand the cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan on the issues of climate change. Yesterday, we joined an online experts meeting from both countries to discuss the similar challenges of desertification and possible solutions," Bystritsky wrote.

The diplomat also noted that Israel plans to hold joint parallel events within the framework of the climate conference in Baku.
