Israeli companies to showcase climate solutions at COP29 in Azerbaijan Article by Israel Innovation Authority

An article has been published on the website of Israel Innovation Authority, highlighting the role of Israeli technologies in combating climate change, Caliber.Az reprints the article.  

The Israeli Innovation Authority announced 20 groundbreaking Israeli climate tech companies that will be featured at this year’s COP29 Climate Conference, scheduled to take place in November in Baku, Azerbaijan.

These leading companies, which were carefully selected by the Israel Innovation Authority, the Ministry of Foreign Affair, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and the Israel Export Institute, come from diverse sectors such as renewable energy, water, advanced agriculture, green construction, smart transportation, environment, recycling, and carbon dioxide removal—each presenting innovative solutions to combat the global climate crisis.

The Israeli Delegation: Pioneering and Global Innovators  

The Israeli companies will showcase their solutions at the Israeli pavilion in the “BLUE ZONE,” the event’s main hub. The technologies presented were chosen to demonstrate the impact of Israeli innovation on the global climate community. 

Ranging from reducing greenhouse gas emissions to advanced water solutions, these innovations reflect Israel’s capability to lead significant change in the fight against the climate crisis.

“Israel is leveraging its creativity and innovation to spearhead breakthrough solutions for the climate crisis. The companies selected to represent Israel at COP29 embody a true vision for global change. We are committed to advancing technologies that will impact a sustainable economy, the environment, and the global quality of life. This is an opportunity to showcase Israel’s strength and innovation, and our contribution to the greatest sustainability challenges of the 21st century,” Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Gila Gamliel said.

 “Israel’s participation in COP29 underscores our commitment to promoting groundbreaking technological solutions for addressing climate challenges. Israeli companies are at the forefront of global technology, helping humanity and the global economy confront climate change through innovative solutions. Even in climate tech, Israel is one of the world’s leading innovation hubs,” CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority Dror Bin said.

“COP29 is a unique platform for Israeli climate tech companies to present their innovative solutions to key global players. Our companies not only develop cutting-edge technologies but also transform the way the world addresses climate challenges. Israel’s representation at the conference is an opportunity to strengthen international ties, promote collaborations, and open doors to new markets for the technologies shaping a green future,” CEO of the Israel Export Institute Nili Shalev said. 

Airovation Tech, CarbonBlue, Rewind, Momentick, Senecio Robotics, TextRe, Treetoscope, BlueGreen Water Technologies, SolCold, EZPack, NGV, Envomed, Reep Technologies, H2OLL, Salicrop, ANINA Culinary Art, CI Sensing, Marine Edge, Terra are among the companies.

COP29 is the world’s largest climate conference, attended by government representatives, the private sector, academia, and financial institutions. This year, more than 100 heads of state and over 40,000 participants are expected to attend. 

The conference will focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change, emphasizing innovative and sustainable solutions. Israel, participating in its official pavilion, will showcase its climate innovation, helping to strengthen the Israeli economy, encourage international cooperation, and lead the world toward a more sustainable future.
