Israeli FM embarks on diplomatic visit to Baku, Astana
On January 25, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar departed on a diplomatic visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, covering the capitals Baku and Astana, aimed at strengthening bilateral political and economic ties.
The visit includes a series of official events and meetings with government officials and civil society representatives, including members of local Jewish communities, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
In Kazakhstan, the trip coincides with the country’s accession to the Abraham Accords, and Sa’ar will also participate in an event marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day in Astana.
Sa’ar is accompanied by a high-level trade and economic delegation of over 40 businesspeople and Israeli officials representing sectors such as water technology, agriculture, cybersecurity, engineering, finance, healthcare, and more.
At Sa’ar’s initiative, business forums will be held in both Baku and Astana, providing opportunities for the Israeli delegation to meet with local entrepreneurs and business leaders.
