Israeli forces dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon PHOTO/VIDEO
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) units from the 91st Division continue to conduct operations along the Lebanese border targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the operations aim to “protect Israeli citizens and eliminate potential threats originating from within Lebanon’s territory,” Caliber.Az cites the statement.
Following intelligence indicating the presence of Hezbollah weapons caches and infrastructure across several locations, Israeli forces launched special, targeted missions to dismantle these sites and prevent the group from reestablishing itself in the area.
In one such operation on the Jabal Blat ridge, troops from the 300th Brigade located and dismantled a compound containing weapons depots and firing positions believed to belong to Hezbollah.
In another operation near the Labbouneh area, reservist soldiers from the 9th Brigade uncovered weapons concealed in thick vegetation, including a multi-barrel launcher, a heavy machine gun, and dozens of explosive devices. The troops confiscated and dismantled the military equipment.
Additionally, an underground structure used for weapon storage was discovered and dismantled in an engineering operation carried out by brigade forces.
The IDF emphasised that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to eliminate threats against Israel and to prevent Hezbollah from establishing a presence in southern Lebanon, in accordance with existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
