Israeli president's office adorned with carpet gifted by Azerbaijani leader Jerusalem Post shares article
The Jerusalem Post, an English-language Israeli newspaper with a wide readership around the world, has published an article highlighting the carpet presented by Azerbaijani President lham Aliyev to his Israeli counterpart during his May 30 official visit to Baku.
The article mentions that a large woven silk carpet adorns Herzog's room, Report informs.
"During the meeting, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his deep gratitude to Isaac Herzog and presented him with a woven carpet as a sign of honour and respect. For several years Israel has maintained close relations with Azerbaijan at various levels. Visiting heads of state and other dignitaries will have an opportunity to see the carpet during a private meeting with Herzog," the report says.
On May 30, Israeli President Isaac Herzog arrived in Baku for a two-day official visit. The visit took place amid heightened security measures due to possible provocations by Iran.
