Italian delegation pays tribute to Azerbaijani heroes in Baku

A delegation from the Italy-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group visited Baku on April 29, commemorating key moments in Azerbaijan's modern history.

Their trip included poignant stops at the Alley of Honors and Victory Park, where they paid respects to the figures who shaped the nation’s independence and remembered those who sacrificed their lives in the Patriotic War, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The group, made up of Italian parliamentarians, laid flowers at the grave of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader and architect of Azerbaijan's modern state. 

The Italians then proceeded to Victory Park, where they paid tribute at the Victory Monument, commemorating the brave Azerbaijani men and women who lost their lives during the Patriotic War.

During their visit, the delegation was briefed on the historical importance of the park, which stands as a symbol of national pride and the indomitable spirit of the Azerbaijani people.
