Italian Senate discuss relations between Baku, Rome, EU PHOTO
On May 29, a forum on "Azerbaijan, Italy, EU: bilateral cooperation and energy security" was held in the Italian Senate under the auspices of the Baku Political Scientists Club (BPC), the Centre for Analysis of International Relations (Air Centre) and the renowned Italian think tank İSİA.
The forum was aimed at further development of Azerbaijani-Italian cooperation, presentation of Azerbaijan's new energy policy and presentation of Azerbaijan's regionwide opportunities, APA reports.
İSİA President Mario Morgoni, Secretary of the Chamber of Deputies Commission Luca Scueri, BPC Chairman Zaur Mammadov and Air Centre Head Farid Shafiyev made opening remarks at the meeting.
This was followed by presentations on the topics of green energy and traditional energy resources, communications, transport and investment.
Italian experts noted that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of Rome and the EU and that holding COP29 in Azerbaijan shows the authority of official Baku in the international arena.
The Italian investors said they are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan not only in the energy sector but also in other economic spheres and will visit Azerbaijan shortly.
Then a memorandum was signed between the MIC and İSİA, Air Centre and İSİA.
