Jean Baderschneider: South Caucasus plays crucial role in world

The South Caucasus region plays an incredibly important role in the world.

The remarks came from Jean Baderschneider, CEO of the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, at the briefing of the 10th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.

She said that Azerbaijan, as a major country in the region, contributes to ensuring energy security in Europe.

Speaking of the relevance of alternative energy sources, Baderschneider said: "There is an acute need for renewable energy sources now".

Azerbaijan, as an effective “green” hub, has huge potential in developing alternative energy sources.

She added that the Southern Gas Corridor makes a huge contribution to Europe's energy security.
