Kazakh defence firm signs deal to supply armoured vehicles to Pakistan
Kazakhstan’s Besqaru defence plant has signed an agreement with a Pakistani company to supply wheeled armoured vehicles, marking a milestone in military-industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The deal was struck during Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to Pakistan, local media reported, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media.
Under the agreement, Besqaru will deliver vehicles, including the AIBAR 4x4 armoured car and the TAIMAS 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle, equipped with the VN-11 combat module. The company said the full production cycle is carried out domestically in Kazakhstan.
Besqaru officials described the deal as a demonstration of the country’s growing defence manufacturing capabilities and export potential. The agreement also includes provisions for post-sale support, maintenance, technical assistance, and personnel training, ensuring long-term operational reliability of the vehicles.
“Opened in 2025, Besqaru has quickly become a hub of Kazakhstan’s defence engineering, producing modern, competitive, and export-oriented products,” the company said.
The firm added that the agreement represents one of the first institutional collaborations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the wheeled armoured vehicle sector and could lay the foundation for broader industrial partnerships and international market expansion.
