Kazakh envoy: Trans-Caspian Int'l Transport Route significant to develop ties with Azerbaijan

Kazakh Ambassador Serzhan Abdikarimov has described as important the role of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) for the development of ties with Azerbaijan.

The ambassador made the remarks on the sidelines of the Baku-based Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan business forum on June 7, according to Report.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM) transport corridor is particularly important in relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, we need to pay more attention to it, he said.

It is expected that by late 2022, the volume of cargo transportation through it may increase sixfold. The ambassador recalled that a memorandum on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert council, which plays an important role in the development of relations with Azerbaijan, was recently signed.

"We urge entrepreneurs to invest in Kazakhstan and Kazakhstani entrepreneurs to invest in Azerbaijan," Abdikarimov added.
