King of Eswatini praises Azerbaijan’s modernisation
King Mswati III of Eswatini has expressed admiration for the ongoing modernisation in Azerbaijan, speaking at the Leaders’ Summit of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
He also called on countries to invest in renewable and “green” energy, stressing the importance of placing people at the centre of urban development and balancing traditional energy sources with sustainable growth, according to local media.
“We must place the human factor at the centre of attention, create a balance between traditional energy sources, so that our cities can develop. It is necessary to build safe settlements and think not only about ourselves, but also about our descendants.
I thank President Ilham Aliyev and the Government of Azerbaijan for their hospitality. We are impressed by the remarkable modernisation taking place in Azerbaijan. Baku simultaneously preserves its rich heritage and embraces progress,” he stated.
