Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Eun-Young has visited the Memorial Complex of Genocide in Guba.
During the visit, the ambassador was informed about the genocide committed by the Armenians, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
The Memorial Complex of Genocide in Guba, created through the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was opened on September 18, 2013.
The guest was informed that the burial place of the genocide victims in Guba was discovered during earthwork on April 1, 2007.
After the cemetery was discovered, employees of the Institute of Archeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan were researching the mass grave.
The researchers revealed that the cemetery appeared as a result of the genocide committed by Armenians against the local civilians in 1918.
The ambassador left a note in the Book of Memory of the memorial complex at the end of the visit.
