Kremlin spox: Russia–Azerbaijan contacts never ceased despite difficult period

Bilateral contacts between Russia and Azerbaijan were never interrupted, even though “the moment was not the best” in the history of relations between the two countries, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Peskov noted that the volume of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries continued to grow, Caliber.Az reports.

“Contacts, in fact, were never broken. And to be fair, despite the fact that it was not the best period in the history of our bilateral relations, the volume of our trade and economic cooperation continued to increase. Contacts were never fully severed — they continued, including through the administrations and aides,” Peskov explained.
