Lachin border checkpoint temporarily closed Armenia should find culprits of today's bloody provocation
According to the information available to Caliber.Az, at the moment the passage of cars through the Lachin border checkpoint has been stopped and it will not be back on track in full capacity until a full investigation into today's provocation is carried out.
Recall that today at 08:45 am the armed forces of Armenia committed a provocation on the conditional Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As a result of the provocation, a serviceman of the State Border Service, Elshan Rustamov, received a gunshot wound. Azerbaijani army suppressed the provocation in retaliatory measures liquidating two snipers of the Armenian Armed Forces, who fired at the personnel of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
We emphasize that the shelling was started by the Armenian side. Who and why opened fire on our border guards, who and which centres of power serve various elements in the Armed Forces of Armenia, and who give such orders - the problem of the Armenian special services, let them find out. But such blurry facts do not release Armenia from responsibility.
Considering the broad context, it is obvious that some parties do not benefit from the reintegration of Karabakh Armenians into Azerbaijani society and the stable operation of the Lachin checkpoint. This is confirmed by information disseminated by the Russian media from an anonymous source in the Russian Foreign Ministry, which states that the United States allegedly requires the Karabakh Armenians to negotiate with Baku on neutral territory, otherwise threatening a possible special operation by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
One thing is crystal-clear - there will be no negotiations with the Karabakh separatists in third countries, as well as no international control mechanisms. Such illusions are thrown to create additional nervousness and discredit alternative negotiation tracks. Our sovereignty over the entire territory of Karabakh, including Khankendi, Khojaly, and Agdere, is not a subject to any discussion.
