Lachin International Airport to serve 200 passengers per hour
Adviser to the Director-General of the Azerbaijani AzVirt Company Jeyhun Safarov has said that the international airport in Lachin will be able to serve up to 200 passengers per hour.
He added that the Lachin International Airport will be the third international airport to operate in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region, according to Report.
“In 2021, the foundation of this airport was laid by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, President Ilham Aliyev. Construction work is planned to be completed in 2024,” Safarov said.
The adviser noted that the length of the airport's runway is 3,000 metres and the width is 60 metres:
“Currently, the area of the airport is being levelled. It will be able to serve up to 200 passengers per hour,” he said.
