Latvia voices strong protest against Iran’s assault on Azerbaijan

On March 5, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in which he strongly condemned the attack carried out by drones of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Azerbaijani territory.

He expressed Latvia’s full solidarity with Azerbaijan and its people and wished a swift recovery to those injured, Caliber.Az reports via the official website of the Azerbaijani head of state.

President Aliyev thanked his Latvian counterpart for the call and the support expressed.

The two leaders also discussed the current state of Azerbaijan–Latvia relations and shared views on future cooperation and potential contacts.
