Latvian president visits Alley of Martyrs, lays wreath for fallen heroes

On April 22, Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the Alley of Martyrs, where he paid tribute to Azerbaijani national heroes who lost their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity, laying a wreath at the Eternal Flame Monument.

He honoured their memory in a moment of commemoration at the memorial site, Caliber.Az reports per state agency.

Rinkēvičs also observed a panoramic view of Baku and received briefings on the history of the Alley of Martyrs as well as ongoing urban redevelopment projects in the city.
