Life behind bars sought for Armenian citizen Vardanyan over war, terror charges

The criminal trial of Armenian citizen Ruben Vardanyan continued on December 18 in Baku, where he faces charges under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, terrorism, financing of terrorism, and other serious offenses.

During the session at the Baku Military Court, the prosecutor representing the state urged the court to impose the maximum penalty. In his address, he called for a life sentence for Vardanyan, underscoring the gravity of the charges against him, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
