Lithuania unveils plans to increase active army reserve by 2025

The number of the army reserve in Lithuania by 2025 will be increased to 36,000 persons.
According to Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anušauskas, the security situation requires that the army be able to move from a peacetime structure to a military structure as quickly as possible, TASS reports with reference to the country's Ministry of Defence.
Now the number of the reserve is 26,000 persons. The active reserve includes persons who have completed military service for the last ten years.
