10 April 2026 18:30

On April 10, Prime Minister of Lithuania Inga Ruginienė visited the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku during an official engagement.

The prime minister was briefed by Centre Director Anar Alakbarov on the institution’s role as a major cultural landmark and its focus on the study and promotion of the state philosophy of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the ideology of Azerbaijani statehood, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The Heydar Aliyev Museum, presented in a virtual format within the complex, highlights key aspects of Aliyev’s political activity during both the Soviet era and Azerbaijan’s post-independence period.

During the visit, Ruginienė also viewed vehicles used by Heydar Aliyev during his leadership of Azerbaijan from 1969 to 2003, alongside exhibitions featuring photographs, multimedia displays, and historical materials reflecting different stages of the country’s development.

She toured the “Pearls of Azerbaijan” exhibition, which showcases the country’s cultural heritage, history, and natural resources through displays including carpets, traditional costumes, and ancient coins. The Prime Minister also visited the “Doll in Art” exhibition, the “Musical Instruments: Unity and Diversity” display, and the “Dance of Loops” exhibition dedicated to Azerbaijani carpet art.

In addition, she viewed the classic cars exhibition hosted at the centre.

At the conclusion of her visit, the Lithuanian prime minister signed the guest book.
