Mauritius seeks to apply Azerbaijan’s urban reconstruction experience
President of Mauritius, Dharambeer Gokhool, has said that his country intends to use Azerbaijan’s experience in sustainable urban development, particularly in the reconstruction of liberated territories.
Speaking at the Leaders’ Summit during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, the president highlighted “smart city” projects and comprehensive urban transformation approaches as key areas of interest, according to local media.
“I take this opportunity to welcome the principle of detailed urban transformation for decades to come. I particularly welcome the smart city projects, the master plans for Aghdam and other cities in Karabakh, as well as the initiatives put forward by President Ilham Aliyev. We will build on this experience and recommendations,” he said.
