Mayor of Tbilisi says Azerbaijani president’s visit deepens friendly ties
The visit of Azerbaijan’s president to Georgia is helping to deepen friendly relations between the two countries, according to the mayor of Tbilisi, Kaha Kaladze.
Speaking to journalists, Kaladze said there is no alternative to strengthening peaceful and neighbourly relations across the region, stressing the strategic importance of ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and our strategic partnership are of great importance. I welcome this visit. Given the complex processes taking place in the Middle East, there is no alternative to peace,” Kaladze said.
He added that the two countries maintain friendly relations and that high-level visits, such as that of Azerbaijan’s president, help reinforce cooperation and mutual trust between the partners.
