Medal worn, message concealed: What's behind Armenia’s political intricacies? Analysis by Farhad Mammadov

Political scientist and head of the South Caucasus Research Center, Farhad Mammadov, shared his insights on his Telegram channel regarding the event held at the Investigation Committee of Armenia, attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“Yesterday was the day of the establishment of the Investigative Committee in Armenia... Pashinyan together with his spouse took part in the event...

Argishti Kyaramyan, probably the most mysterious figure in the Armenian establishment, is at the head of this structure.

I don't hide, I follow him closely, and that's why!

A moderately good-looking young man with a pronounced parting on his head, Kyaramyan has a biography that differs from all of Pashinyan's other associates.

All of Pashinyan's entourage are revolutionaries, pictured before 2018, ordinary guys, NGO workers, and activists. Kyaramyan, on the other hand, has worked in the police since 2013, then as an investigator in the Investigative Committee of Armenia, the Prosecutor's Office.

However, immediately after the revolution, he got positions in the most important structures for Pashinyan: the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, the State Supervision Service, and the Investigative Committee. His elevation went so fast that he had to use bureaucratic manoeuvres every time since he could not occupy such high positions according to the procedure...

The head of the National Security Service of Armenia... In the next position, he got involved in the 2020 war... That is, all these positions were in just two years!!!!

After the defeat of Armenia, he was fired, they say, at Russia's demand. However, in December 2020, he again headed the Armenian Investigative Committee, which became the main tool of the Pashinyan regime in the fight against the political opposition.

So, we don't know the reason why Pashinyan and Kyaramyan are so strongly connected... We can guess.....

But that's not the point... So, yesterday, Kyaramyan wore a festive suit and put on as many as 19 medals!!! So he is secretly fighting somewhere....

What is most interesting: in 2021 (!) Araik Harutyunyan awarded Kyaramyan with the 'NKR' medal for bravery!

Got it?! In 2021!! Medal for bravery!!!

This medal looks like in the photo, with a 'tetris' on top and two lions holding a sword!

Started looking for this medal and found it on Kyaramyan's chest... It's the very first one, but the part where the 'tetris' is visible is hidden behind his jacket's collar!!!

This seemingly simple element has a very big meaning... That is, he doesn't want to give up 'NKR's medal but hides its demonstrative part under the collar....

Just like the declaration of independence of Armenia and the reference to it in the Constitution... It is there, it is visible, but they want to hide it under the collar just like this medal! But the medal hangs on Kyaramyan's heart, and in the future, he can still show it without hiding it behind his collar. Just like the Armenian Constitution, the declaration can be returned as a constitutional norm!

So, both the Constitution should be changed and the medals should be torn off!” Farhad Mammadov wrote.
