Media: US military base in Syria hit by rocket attack

The US Kharab al-Jir military base, located in Syria, has come under rocket attack.

The country responsible for the attack is unknown. No further details about the incident have been provided, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media. 

Kurdish forces, with the support of the Western coalition, currently control the majority of Syria's Al Hasakah and Raqqa provinces, as well as the northeastern areas of Deir ez-Zor province. The US has established 12 military bases in the region to combat the "Islamic State" terrorist group since 2015.
