Memories of Azerbaijani martyrs honoured in Türkiye
The memory of the martyrs of the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020 was honoured in Istanbul, Türkiye.
APA's Istanbul correspondent reports that the commemoration ceremony, organized by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, = took place in the Heydar Aliyev Park in the Sariyer district of Istanbul.
At the event, a minute of silence was honoured in memory of the martyrs, and the national anthems of both countries were played.
Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva spoke about the feat of the heroes who, by sacrificing their lives in the 44-day Patriotic War, liberated the occupied Azerbaijani lands.
Mustafayeva stressed that Azerbaijan will always remember the sons who devoted their lives to the Motherland.
The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, consuls of various countries in Istanbul, and members of the public and local media.
