MFA: Armenia's provocations - obstacle to Azerbaijan's peaceful efforts in region

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that Armenia’s constant provocations are an obstacle to Azerbaijan’s peaceful and constructive efforts.

Bayramov made these remarks during a meeting with the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, Report informs.

The Azerbaijani diplomat spoke about the current situation in the region after the 44-day second Karabakh war, the restoration and construction processes which are being carried out by Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period to establish peace and security in the region, open transport routes and communications, help internally displaced people driven away as a result of almost 30 years of occupation of Azerbaijani lands to return to native lands.

Bayramov also noted that Armenia’s constant provocations, and the non-fulfilment of its obligations are an obstacle to Azerbaijan’s peaceful and creative efforts in the region.

The views on other issues of mutual interest were exchanged at the meeting.
