MFA shares publication on Garakand tragedy anniversary

Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has shared a publication on the occasion of the next anniversary of the crash of an Mi-8 helicopter with Azerbaijani officials on board as a result of shelling by Armenian armed groups over the village of Garakand in the Khojavand district.

"Today marks the 31st anniversary of the tragedy in the village of Garakand. On November 20, 1991, a helicopter was shot down by Armenian armed formations over the village of Garakand in the Khojavand district, resulting in the death of 22 people, including prominent Azerbaijani statesmen, government members, deputies and journalists," Caliber.Az  quotes the ministry as saying on Twitter.
