Minister: Azerbaijan organizes tournament within President's Cup Rowing Regatta-2022 at high level

The tournament dedicated to the 99th anniversary of Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev has been organized at a high level.

Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov made the remarks at the President's Cup Rowing Regatta-2022 in Azerbaijan’s Sugovushan settlement liberated from the Armenian occupation, Report informs.

The minister stressed that the first competitions in Karabakh region were held.

“This day is very happy for me. The event turned into a real sports festival. Partners and volunteers organized everything at a high level. I congratulate Azerbaijan’s entire sports community. We are here today thanks to Supreme Commander of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and our army, they returned these lands,” Gaibov said.

“We plan to organize sports competitions in other liberated territories in the future. We are discussing this issue with the Azerbaijan Rowing and Canoe Federation. Some work has already been done,” Gaibov said.
