Minister: Russia not intend to close YouTube

Russia is not planning to block access to YouTube on its territory.

Russian Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev made a statement in a recent interview with Kommersant.

Back in June on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Shadayev said that YouTube remains in first place in terms of mobile Internet traffic.

According to him, video hosting accounts for 18% of the traffic of the Big Four operators.
