Kremlin confirms no current talks on draft memoranda with Ukraine
Russia and Ukraine are not currently engaged in discussions over draft memoranda, but efforts to implement previously agreed humanitarian measures are nearing completion, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed.
Speaking to reporters, Peskov stated that while the diplomatic track regarding formal documents remains inactive, progress is being made on the humanitarian front following understandings reached during earlier negotiations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"At the moment, the implementation of the agreements of humanitarian nature, which were reached during the second round, is being finalised," he said, referring to measures agreed upon in the previous stages of talks.
When asked whether Moscow and Kyiv were currently exchanging views on draft memorandums, Peskov clarified that such discussions have not yet resumed. Instead, attention remains on executing the practical elements of prior humanitarian commitments.
The Kremlin spokesman further noted that following the completion of these measures, the focus would shift toward arranging future dialogue. "After that it would be the turn to decide on the dates of continuation," he added, leaving open the possibility of renewed talks in the near future.
