MoD: General McKinney's visit stengthened US-Azerbaijan defence cooperation PHOTO

The visit of Brigadier General Chris McKinney, Deputy Director of US European Command for Partnering, Security Cooperation, and Weapons of Mass Destruction, to Azerbaijan, has strengthened long-term defence cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan, the US Embassy in Baku told Caliber.Az.

During his stay from November 30 to December 3, McKinney held meetings at the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. 

According to the US Embassy, he engaged with units from both ministries responsible for countering nuclear, radiological, chemical, and biological threats, and also visited the Alley of Martyrs.

“The visit by General McKinney strengthened long-term defense cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan and highlighted shared interests in the security and stability of Azerbaijan and the region,” the statement said.
