Moldovan PM to visit Azerbaijan
Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita will visit Azerbaijan in October 2022 as part of another meeting of the Moldovan-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
The commission's meeting will be held in Baku on October 10-12, 2022, Report informs citing a statement made at the meeting between the Moldovan prime minister and Azerbaijani ambassador to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov.
"Despite all the challenges, Moldova remains a favourite destination for foreign investors. We have recently managed to attract investment projects from such countries as Belgium, the Netherlands, Türkiye, the US, Germany, Lithuania, and the UK. We want to strengthen investment cooperation with the Azerbaijani businessmen," Gavrilita said at the meeting.
She expressed Moldova's interest in strengthening cooperation in the energy sector, analysing the possibility of importing natural gas from Azerbaijan.
A bilateral Forum of Entrepreneurs will be organised during those days. The investment opportunities of both countries will be described, the report adds.
