Montenegro’s energy chief to visit Azerbaijan for high-level energy talks
State Secretary of Montenegro’s Ministry of Energy and Mining, Dino Tutundžić, will visit Azerbaijan in March to attend ministerial energy sessions.
During the visit, he is expected to participate in the 12th ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 4th ministerial meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council, both scheduled for March 3 in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council (SGC Advisory Council) was established in 2015 as an annual high‑level platform co‑chaired by Azerbaijan and the European Commission to coordinate political and strategic cooperation among partner governments, institutions and energy companies on operating and expanding the Southern Gas Corridor — a key route for delivering Caspian natural gas to European markets.
The Green Energy Advisory Council was introduced alongside the SGC Advisory Council in recent years to deepen cooperation on renewable energy, green energy corridors, energy efficiency and other low‑carbon solutions among participating countries and partners.
The 11th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and 3rd Green Energy Advisory Council meetings were held on April 4, 2025, bringing together ministers, senior officials, representatives from 24 countries, including Azerbaijan and the EU, seven international financial institutions, and 42 energy companies.
