Morocco, Azerbaijan working towards bolstering relations - envoy

Morocco and Azerbaijan are working hand in hand to bolster cooperation.

Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Adil Embarch told an event to mark the state holiday of his country - the anniversary of the ascension to the throne of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Report informs.

The diplomat added August 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan.

"Over the past three decades, Morocco and Azerbaijan have been working hand in hand to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties, develop mutual understanding and cooperation," he said.

Adil Embarch stressed that over the past year, a number of high-level visits have taken place between the two countries. Thus, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Moroccan parliament Rachid Talbi Alami visited Azerbaijan and invited Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova to visit Morocco.

Azerbaijan and Morocco also held political consultations in Rabat and the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev.
