Morocco voices strong protest over drone strikes targeting Azerbaijan

Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita contacted Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and expressed firm condemnation of the drone attacks targeting Azerbaijani territory.

During the call, Bayramov provided detailed information about the drone strikes carried out by Iran on March 5 targeting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Caliber.Az reports via the foreign ministry.

The minister emphasised that such actions violate Azerbaijan’s sovereignty, constitute a serious breach of international law, and contribute to rising tensions in the region.

Bourita expressed concern over the incident and reaffirmed Morocco’s solidarity with Azerbaijan. The two ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
