17 July 2026 16:07

The 25th meeting of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Commission between Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis and Russia's Federal Assembly will be held in Moscow in December 2026, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced.

Speaking after talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Moscow on July 17, Lavrov highlighted the continued development of bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Lavrov said the previous session of the commission was held in Baku in June 2026, while the upcoming meeting in Moscow will mark the commission's 25th anniversary.

"We welcomed the dynamic development of intergovernmental ties, including at the level of our countries' prime ministers, as well as the active interparliamentary dialogue. On June 18, the regular meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission was held in Baku, and its 25th anniversary session will take place in Moscow in December this year," Lavrov said.
