MP highlights Azerbaijan's role in climate change efforts at Khankendi conference

Azerbaijan will hold a parliamentary session within COP29.

MP Kamal Jafarov said this during a scientific-practical conference titled "The role of educational and law enforcement activities in strengthening the environment" held in Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports, citing the local media.

He said that attention to climate change is one of the most important and urgent challenges at the moment, adding that "this challenge conditions national and global efforts. The Republic of Azerbaijan, as a reliable and responsible member of the international community, contributes to the fight against the consequences of climate change. Against the background of measures taken in this field, COP29 is a bright example of recognition of Azerbaijan's efforts in combating climate change both nationally and globally," he stressed.

The MP noted that the Azerbaijani parliament is also entrusted with important tasks within the framework of the COP29 international conference.
