MP: Türkiye, Azerbaijan to never forget Khojaly bloodshed PHOTO
Shamil Ayrim, the head of the Turkish parliament’s friendship group with Azerbaijan, has said that Türkiye and Azerbaijan have not forgotten and will never forget the bloodshed in Khojaly.
The Khojaly tragedy, where 613 people were brutally killed by Armenians in Khojaly, is not forgotten, Caliber.Az quotes Ayrim as saying.
On the night of February 25-26, 1992, Armenian armed units, with the participation of the 366th regiment of the former Soviet army, stationed in the city of Khankendi, destroyed the city of Khojaly. Following this latest massacre committed by Armenian aggressors against the Azerbaijani people with extreme cruelty, 613 people were killed, including 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people. As many as 1,275 civilians were taken prisoner, and the fate of 150 people is still unknown. As a result, eight families were totally annihilated, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children lost one of their parents.
