Munich meeting: Azerbaijan, Serbia eye closer economic and security ties
On February 14, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference to discuss the future of bilateral ties.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting focused on key aspects of the Azerbaijan-Serbia strategic partnership, including regional and global security issues, Caliber.Az reports.
Both ministers underscored the importance of high-level diplomatic engagements and the strong personal rapport between their countries’ leaders in strengthening cooperation.
Discussions covered a broad spectrum of sectors, including economy, energy, high technology, transportation, culture, humanitarian efforts, education, and tourism. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration in these areas.
The ministers also expressed appreciation for their countries’ mutual support for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within regional and international organizations.
In addition to these strategic discussions, the two diplomats addressed other matters of shared interest, reinforcing their commitment to deepening Azerbaijan-Serbia relations.
