Muslim World League chief to visit Azerbaijan for global conference
Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, has extended an invitation to Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, to visit Azerbaijan and participate in a forthcoming high-level event in the country.
The meeting between the sides was held as part of Pashazada’s visit to Saudi Arabia, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
During the discussion, Pashazada announced that Azerbaijan is preparing to host several major international events in 2026, including a high-level conference on multiculturalism and Islamophobia.
The gathering will be organized by the Caucasus Muslims Office in partnership with the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
Pashazada extended an official invitation to Al-Issa to participate in the upcoming conference. Expressing his appreciation, the Secretary-General conveyed his gratitude for the invitation and affirmed his readiness to visit Azerbaijan.
