Nakhchivan marks 40th day memorial for Iran’s supreme leader Photo
A memorial event marking the 40th day since the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was held on April 10 in Nakhchivan.
The ceremony brought together senior officials, including Jabbar Musayev, Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Aziz Mansouri, Consul General of Iran in Nakhchivan, as well as representatives of state and government bodies, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Participants expressed condolences over the passing of Iran’s Supreme Leader and highlighted discussions on Azerbaijani–Iranian relations during the event.
Jabbar Musayev extended his condolences on behalf of the Nakhchivan authorities.
It was also noted that, on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan provided humanitarian assistance to Iran during the period of hostilities. Participants described the move as an example of friendly and good-neighbourly relations between the two countries.
