NATO supports normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations - official
NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina has said that the organization supports efforts to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
He noted that NATO supports the steps taken by the European Union, the United States, Azerbaijan and Armenia to normalize relations between the two countries in a bilateral format, Caliber.Az reports.
Colomina also recalled his recent meeting with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the sidelines of the OSCE ministerial meeting in Skopje, the capital of Northern Macedonia.
"We will continue our support and hope for the best. The main thing is that stability in the Caucasus is ensured not only through our activities in Georgia, but also through the normalization that Armenia and Azerbaijan can bring," Javier Colomina added.
