Nauru's president receives formal invitation to COP29 from Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN, Yashar Aliyev, has extended an official invitation to the President of Nauru, David Adanga, to attend COP29.

According to Report, this invitation was delivered to Nauru's Ambassador to the UN, Margo Deya.

The press service of Nauru's diplomatic mission to the UN announced the event, highlighting that the Azerbaijani Ambassador's visit to hand over the original letter signifies the importance of Nauru's participation in the upcoming conference.

The diplomatic mission expressed anticipation for COP29, which will be hosted in Baku under Azerbaijan's chairmanship. 

In related diplomatic activities, Yashar Aliyev also met with his Turkish counterpart, Ahmet Yildiz, to discuss ways to enhance both bilateral and multilateral cooperation between their respective nations.
