New Azerbaijani embassy in Israel to strengthen bilateral ties FM Bayramov’s remarks from Tel Aviv
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that the decision to open the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel was an important step in strengthening cooperation.
The minister voiced the remarks following a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen in Tel Aviv on March 29, Report informs.
Bayramov noted that relations between the countries have been developing over the past 30 years in various spheres with cooperation focused on the security, economic and energy spheres.
He also lauded the important role of the Jewish community living in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani community of Israel in strengthening bilateral ties.
According to the FM, regular meetings between Azerbaijani and Israeli officials also contribute to the development of cooperation.
The ceremony of opening the Azerbaijani embassy in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv is taking place on March 29.
The event is being attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament’s Committee on Foreign and Interparliamentary Relations Samad Seyidov, several Azerbaijani MPs, as well as head of the Azerbaijan-Israel interparliamentary group Anatoly Rafailov.
