Newly appointed US ambassador arrives in Azerbaijan

Newly appointed US Ambassador Mark Libby has arrived in Baku.

“Welcome to Azerbaijan, Ambassador-designate Mark Libby. We look forward to getting to work to advance U.S.- Azerbaijani relations and work towards a durable and lasting peace in the region,” the embassy wrote on its X social media account, Caliber.Az reports. 

On May 25, US President Joe Biden nominated a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.

He also served as Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d'Affaires of the US Mission to the European Union in Brussels.
