Nizami Ganjavi International Centre delegation engages with world leaders on key global issues

A delegation from the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre (NGIC) took part in the 2025 Imperial Springs International Forum, held from November 30 to December 4 in Guangzhou, China, under the theme “For Global Cooperation and Solidarity.”

The forum convened over 30 former heads of state, distinguished personalities, and leading scholars to engage in discussions on multiculturalism, global security, economic transformations, climate and low-carbon development, technological innovations, and the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The NGIC delegation included an eminent roster of international figures: Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Co-chair of NGIC and former President of Latvia; Maria Fernanda Espinosa, President of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador; Jean Baderschneider, Non-Executive Director of Fortescue Metals; Zlatko Lagumdzija, former Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mladen Ivanic, former President of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Yves Leterme, former Prime Minister of Belgium; Volkan Bozkır, President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly; and Rosen Plevneliev, former President of Bulgaria.

The forum provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on pressing global challenges and fostering international dialogue aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting solidarity across nations.
