Non-Aligned Movement to open office of parliamentary network in Baku
A headquarters of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement is set to be established in Baku.
The decision was taken at the 5th conference of the Parliamentary Network which is being held in Istanbul, as Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The gathering brought together around 130 representatives from nearly 50 countries and international organisations.
Delegates also adopted the Istanbul Declaration and approved granting observer status within the Parliamentary Network to the Arab Parliament.
Azerbaijan chaired the organisation from 2019 to 2024 and introduced several key initiatives during its tenure, including the establishment of the Parliamentary Network and the group’s coordinated response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
