Official: Azerbaijani NGOs may launch joint projects with Global South partners

Azerbaijani non-governmental organisations could begin cooperating on joint initiatives with like-minded partners from countries of the Global South, a senior Azerbaijani official has said.

Speaking at the General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, highlighted opportunities for expanding civil society cooperation across developing regions, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

He said Azerbaijan is ready to support cost-sharing and joint financing mechanisms for such cooperation initiatives.

“We are also ready to learn from your experience and share ours,” Hajiyev stated.
